Zary is passionate about building comfortable, energy efficient low carbon custom homes that also have superior indoor air quality, are safe, durable, resilient, and elegant. Zary has a master's degree in building science from Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly known as Ryerson University in Toronto. Zary is licensed under the Home Construction Regulatory Authority as a builder and is licensed under the New Home Construction Licensing Act as both a vendor and builder in accordance with Tarion regulations. She is a PHIUS Certified Passive House Consultant and a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) specialist. She has won international recognition from the U.S. Department of Energy for participating with her team in the Solar Decathlon competition and won first place for Net Zero energy retrofit design in 2022. In addition to Net Zero and Passive House training, Zary also has her BCIN from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing as an independent designer. As such, she can provide plan reviews, design services and permit submissions services.
